Who Is Attending The Model Legislature?

The biggest question Model Legislature has been asked is "who is attending the Model Legislature"? To help answer this question we assembled the following information.

Interest has been expressed from several groups of students:

• State and Local Government Classes
• Honors Courses
• Student Government Incoming Executive Boards
• Student Senates
• Student Associations consisting of several different colleges

The colleges that are showing interest include: State Universities, Private Colleges, State Colleges, and Community Colleges.

Leadership Team Announcements

Model Legislature is proud to announce the 2010 Leadership Team for the Florida Model Legislature:

Governor- Mikel James from Central Florida Community College

Lt. Governor- Shuyun Xue from the University of Florida

Speaker of the House- Brian Ruscher from Florida State University

President of the Senate- Dominique Meyer from Valencia Community College

With the announcements just being made, the team is already developing materials for the 2010 Model Legislative Session.
